Downtown Lorain 1924 Tornado Walking Tour

We're partnering with Main Street Lorain during their Second Saturday events throughout the Summer to bring you a guided "Downtown Lorain Tornado Walking Tour" to commemorate the tragic event that destroyed downtown Lorain and surrounding areas.

Grab your walking shoes and join us on an hour-long tour around Downtown Lorain and see some of the sites that were impacted by one of the deadliest tornadoes in Ohio history and learn about the rebuilding and rebirth that followed.

Tours will be held June 8, July 13, August 10, & September 14. The tours will begin at 11:15am and 1:15pm. Tickets are $5 per person, and children 12 and under are FREE. If you'd like to purchase tickets on site, please visit our LHS booth during Second Saturdays to purchase tickets.
